I’m a huge fan of both Apple and Lelo products for very similar reasons. Both companies offer innovative, beautifully designed products, user friendly interfaces and perform very well. I honestly don’t think my life would be the same without my iPhone or MacBook Pro. The same can be said about my Lelo Soraya and Lelo Ina. However, the computer giant (Apple) and Swedish luxury sex toy line (Lelo) have more in common than most people realize. One word:

Siri.

In 2010, Lelo came out with an incredibly powerful personal massager named Siri. A year later, Apple released the iPhone 4S – featuring an app called “Siri” that talks to you like a personal assistant. You’d think that this would have resulted in the lawsuit of the century, however as Lelo described in their cheeky open letter to apple,

“Siri will become a term that defines the best of both worlds – Apple representing business and Lelo representing pleasure.”

Ever since I read City Girl‘s review of the Lelo Siri, I’ve been dying to get my hands on one to try myself. Lucky for me, the kind people over at Lovehoney generously sent me my very own Lelo Siri to review (thank you!)

To be honest, despite being hopelessly devoted to my iPhone I rarely use the “Siri” function. There’s something about giving directions to a disembodied computer voice that’s just a little too 2001 Space Odyssey for my liking. Besides, I gave up on Apple’s Siri when she failed to help me find the location of the Aritzia sample sale. Bad Siri!

However, if you’re extra sensitive or not into really strong vibrations, the lower (less intense) settings feel really nice.

Ergonomic: It fits perfectly into the palm of your hand. Before I tried the toy, I was showing it to my friend and she commented, “It looks a bit like an Apple computer mouse!” Indeed it does.

Elegant design: Unlike this toy, you could accidentally leave the Siri out on your nightstand without worrying about freaking anyone out.

This summer I’ve had some pretty amazing sex toys land on my desk (no complaints here!) and the Happy Rabbit line by Lovehoney is no exception. Designed to help you “Get Happy the Natural Way” (ha!) I’m thrilled that Lovehoney decided to send me my very own Happy Rabbit “Natural” vibrator to try out for you guys. Here are the “specs” on the Happy Rabbit Natural:

Right from the get-go, The Happy Rabbit Natural made an excellent first impression. It was shipped discretely and arrived in this classy and tasteful box. Inside it’s outer box, there was a luxe plain black box with the words “Get Happy!” printed on the front which contained the toy.

Although I’ve learned not to judge a toy by it’s cover, if we’re getting real here, packaging does make a difference to how you experience the product. Taking the Lovehoney Happy Rabbit out of it’s packaging for the first time felt like I was opening a luxurious present. Inside the box I found the toy, an instructions manual, a charger and a silky dust bag which can be used for storage. Alternatively, the box serves as a great storage case for your Happy Rabbit.

At this point you’re probably asking yourself, “What exactly makes this Rabbit different?!” Well, the way I see it is this: The Lovehoney Happy Rabbit Natural is like a pint of Hagan Daaz Vanilla Ice Cream (one of my favourite flavours) – there’s nothing ground-breaking-ly remarkable about it, but what it does do, it does very, very well. In other words, it stands alone in it’s classy simplicity.

Like the Body and Soul Lover which I reviewed earlier in the month, the Happy Rabbit Natural is a dual stimulation toy with three powerful motors: 2 located in the tip & base of the shaft and 1 in the rabbit ears which act as the clitoral stimulator. This means that you get a lot of power and all over stimulation with this toy – which, if you read my last sex toy review is a beautiful thing. However, unlike the Body and Soul Lover, the Happy Rabbit is a bit on the larger size – something I really enjoy! Similar to the Nick Hawk Dildo which I wrote about earlier in the summer, the Happy Rabbit is a nice length and stands tall & proud – exactly how I enjoy my penises! Errr, I mean bright pink objects that kind of look like fake penises.

Another thing that’s really awesome about the Happy Rabbit is that if you turn it on and hold it in your hand, you can feel that it not only vibrates, it also gently pulsates, creating a wave-like sensation. Combined with it’s long & lean shape, I had some pretty intense orgasms (read: plural) the first time I used this toy. The vibrations are nice & strong and at 9.5 inches (5.5 of which are actually insertable) the long, lean shape of the toy hits my g-spot nicely.

To give you an idea of the size, Joe the Intern kindly volunteered to stand next to The Happy Rabbit and the Body & Soul Lover. As you can see, the Happy Rabbit is quite a bit longer and thicker. Because of this, I would suggest using a few drops of water-based lube with it for optimal pleasure.

As you may have guessed, I’m a huge fan of rabbit style vibrators because I love toys that provide both internal and external stimulation. When the people at California Exotics asked me if I would be interested in trying one of their newest vibrators, The Body & Soul Rechargeable Lover, I couldn’t resist.

The Body & Soul Rechargeable Lover by California Exotics is a small luxury vibrator made of 100% body-safe silicone, with an ABS plastic and silver plate control pad. It’s fully rechargeable which means no batteries (yay!) and waterproof for bath-time fun. It includes 7 different modes of intense vibration, pulsation and escalation. I received the toy in black, but it also comes in purple.

As you can see, the toy has a sleek shape with lots of subtle curves and ridges designed to stimulate your most sensitive nerve endings. To be honest, I was skeptical about whether the Body & Soul Rechargeable Lover would rock my boat – mainly because of it’s size. It’s no secret that when it comes to my sex toys, I’m a bit of a size queen. With only 4.75 inches of insertable length, the Body & Soul Rechargeable Lover is a smaller sized vibrator both in length and girth.

Although I had my doubts, this toy completely proved me wrong. Simply put, I lovvvve the Lover. Even though the toy looks small at first glance, what sets the Body & Soul Lover apart from other larger vibrators is that it has 3 motors. Yes, three. One in the shaft, one in the tip and one in the clitoral stimulator. Whereas some toys have very localized vibrations (which can be annoying if you’re like me and enjoy a lot of stimulation), with the Body & Soul Lover you can feel vibrating all the way from the base to the tip. Let me just say, it feels divine. The vibration strengths range from delicate and teasing, to pleasantly intense – making it the perfect toy for beginners and connoisseurs alike.

Here’s a few other things that I really about this toy:

It’s flexible: Although the Body & Soul Lover has three motors, it’s made of soft, flexible silicone which means you can bend it and position it so that it hits your g-spot and clitoris easily. Unlike some rabbit vibes, this toy has a long clitoral arm, with intense vibrations throughout, which means it’s likely to work for a variety of different anatomies.

It’s Easy to Use: The controls are simple and straightforward to use. There’s an automatic On/Off button and a second button that you use to work through the different vibration settings. Easy peasy!

It’s Compact: Because of it’s compact, non-threatening size, this toy is perfect for travelling, playing with alone or with a partner. Because of this, it also makes a great choice as a first time toy!

It’s Rechargeable by USB: Another reason why this toy is ultra-convenient and perfect for travel – there’s no need to carry around batteries or a charger. Simply plug the toy in to a computer and voila! Within 8 hours you have a complete charge. The toy runs on the highest speed for 1.5 hours and on it’s lowest speed for 3 hours.

Since Joe the Intern looks after all charging at Skinny Dip headquarters, I thought it was only fair that I let him share his thoughts on the Body & Soul Rechargeable Lover.

The only thing that keeps this toy from being absolutely perfect is that it tends to attract dust really easily. I’m not sure whether the purple version has the same issue, but this is something that could easily be solved by including a carrying case or dust bag with the product (something that would have been awesome!) Either way, it’s a good reminder to always clean your toys before and after use.

Final Verdict: I’ve been looking for a rabbit style vibrator that I could recommend with confidence to people who are buying their first sex toy, and I think I’ve found it. The Body & Soul Rechargeable Lover is high quality, easy to use and feels totally amazeballs. This toy has become a new favourite of mine – proof that you should never judge a toy by it’s cover.

You guys. There’s something I’ve been meaning to tell you for a very long time. I’m hopelessly in love with the Showtime reality series Gigolos. If you haven’t seen it, Gigolos provides an “extremely rare and uncensored look into the personal and professional lives of five hot guys in Vegas who like to hang out, have fun and get girls, but in their case they get paid for it.” Yes, Gigolos is a reality show about male escorts living in Sin City and it’s so horrible, it’s actually kind of amazing. It has everything you hope and wish for from reality TV: Sex, Cat-Fights, Spray-tans, blatant prostitution. What more could you ask for? It’s OK, you’re free to judge me all you want. My love for Gigolos is a personal shame I live with everyday.

Above is the gang from season 1-2: Jimmy (the sensitive one, who is undergoing an existential crisis), Vin (the laid back, token black dude who claims he’s a feminist), Steven (the single dad who I’m pretty sure is Gay), Brace (the orange guy who claims he’s in his 40’s but I suspect is actually 85 & lying to us) and of course my favourite – Nick, the cocky inked up guy with dreams of becoming a rapper. When California Exotics asked me if I’d be interested in reviewing something from the Nick Hawk GIGOLO line as part of their Cal Exotics Certified Sexpert Program, I couldn’t resist. I had an EdenFantasys gift card that was burning a hole in my pocket, so recently I decided to “live large” and treat myself to the G4 Big Boss vibrator by Fun Factory. Although I’d been eyeing it for awhile, this is first toy that I’ve tried by Fun Factory – the German design masterminds who are known for their innovative and aesthetically pleasing adult toys.

Friends, there is no dressing this one up. The Big Boss by Fun Factory is exactly what it looks like: a big, black (or orange!), penis shaped vibrator. With a long, thick shaft and a deep, rumbling powerful motor, this toy definitely lives up to it’s name.

The Big Boss has all the makings of a luxury adult toy. It’s made of velvety soft, medical grade silicone and is 100% body safe. It’s water resistant (meaning you can use it in the shower but you can’t fully submerge it in water) and is fully rechargeable (yay!) The toys is powered by three easy to use control buttons. Similar to my beloved Lelo Soraya, I love that the Big Boss has a looped handle, which makes the toy incredibly easy and comfortable to use.

As the name suggests, The Big Boss is a larger sized toy. It has an insertable length of 6.5 inches and a circumference of 5.5 inches, making it the longest and thickest of the vibrators that I own. Although, some people have told me they think this toy is “scary looking”, I don’t think it’s scary at all. Think about it, 6.5 inches really isn’t that big – at least not for me. Studies have shown that the average penis size is approximately just under 6 inches when erect. The Big Boss isn’t an Anaconda. A better way to describe it would be “average and then some.” With that said, you will most likely need to use some water based lube with this toy.

To give you an idea of the scale of The Big Boss, I had Joe the Intern pose casually next to the Jopen Vr12 and the Picobong Kaya. Keep in mind that Joe is approximately the same height as a Ken doll. As you can see, the Jopen Vr12 is slightly longer, however the Big Boss is thicker and has more actual insertable length.

When it comes to the Big Boss by Fun Factory, what’s a “pro” for one person, might be a “con” for another. What the Big Boss really has going for it is it’s size and shape. The toy will definitely give you a fuller feeling than a lot of other vibrators. Although I usually shy away from toys that look anatomically correct, I think this one is beautiful. However, the Big Boss isn’t just a pretty face. It also packs a lot of power. With multiple speeds and vibration patterns, the Big Boss is one of the most powerful toys I own. Considering how powerful this toy is, it’s exceptionally quiet. It only gets slightly louder at the very highest settings.

This is probably going to sound like crazy talk, but of all my toys, this one definitely feels the most “realistic” – i.e. like an actual penis. From it’s slightly flexible shaft to it’s flared head that stimulates the g-spot, if you’re looking for a good stand in for the real thing, the Big Boss will definitely fit the bill. Oh and did I mention it gave me great orgasms?! Because it did.

If you love a toy with some extra girth, length and power, or enjoy toys that stimulate the g-spot, you’ll probably love the Big Boss by Fun Factory. Plus, you’ll finally be able to check off “Own a large black dildo” off your life list (come-on, I know you want to.) However, if this doesn’t sound like you, this toy might not be your cup of tea. Although I really love how this toy feels, it’s not one that I would recommend for beginners. If you’re looking for something similar but smaller and more discreet, I would suggest checking out the Lelo Mona or the Picobong Zizo.

Anyway, although this toy satisfies me like a boss, I think this just proves my point, that the Fun Factory Big Boss maybe isn’t for everyone. I think the Big Boss is one bad-ass vibrator and am quite happy to be it’s recent hire, but that’s just me.
