A few days before Valentine’s Day, my younger man-friend and I decided to call the romantic portion of our relationship quits. It’s all good though – he’s a lovely human being, but we both realized that we make better friends than anything else. So, with no big plans for Valentine’s Day I decided to treat myself to a weekend in Vancouver. After my lost month I was in dire need of a change of scenery. The fact that my friend Courtney was in town and had purchased us tickets to go watch Fifty Shades of Grey only sweetened the deal 🙂
As I’ve mentioned before, living at home sometimes presents challenges when it comes to my “extra-curriculars” (I.e. trying and reviewing sex toys.) So, knowing I’d be going out of town for a two days I threw a couple of the toys sitting on my desk into my suitcase. Among them was the Lelo Ina Wave. Long story short: I never ended up trying the other two toys I brought because Ina and I became quite attached over the weekend.
If the Ina Wave looks familiar, it’s because it’s a new version of the Lelo Ina which I reviewed here. Only with a one very big difference: instead of a vibrating shaft, it has a shaft that moves in a finger-like “come hither motion” to stimulate your g-spot….and frankly, it’s heavenly.
Over the past few years I’ve tried and reviewed a lot of sex toys. One thing I’ve learned: not all toys are created equal. Despite really cool tech-y features, a lot of luxury vibrators don’t live up to their hype or my connoisseur expectations. I’m happy to say that the Ina Wave is not one of them.
I’m completely giddy and over the moon about this vibrator.
Quick specs: The Lelo Ina Wave is a rabbit vibrator designed for pleasure connoisseurs. It’s made of 100% velvety soft, body safe silicone, features 10 different pleasure patterns, is fully rechargeable and waterproof. As a dual stimulating toy it features a vibrating clitoral arm + an insertable shaft that vibrates and moves back and forth to stimulate your g-spot.
To quote Lelo, “INA Wave is inspired by the caress of a lover’s fingers, as it surges with a natural ‘come-hither’ motion to massage your G-Spot. While its generous body rises and falls, the powerful clitoral stimulator creates a blended climax that crashes over you.” When I read that description on the website all I could think was, “Yes, please!”
(Still having a hard time visualizing what the Lelo Ina Wave is all about? I suggest you watch this short video clip which shows the “come hither” finger motion in action.)
(FYI. Years ago I dated a guy who was categorically a terrible boyfriend, however particularly gifted at this oral + finger move. I kept him around way longer than I should have because I was convinced he possessed a magical tongue and set of fingers. If only the Ina Wave had been around back then, I could have saved myself so much grief. Sigh.)
As I discovered this past Sunday, the Ina Wave feels freakishly like the real thing. Once inserted, the moveable shaft gently strokes your g-spot, while the smaller arm vibrates and massages your clit. I was shocked at how quickly and powerfully I came the first time (and since I was alone, in a very nice hotel room, I didn’t hold back and actually let out a tiny scream. It was that good.) In fact, it was one of the most powerful orgasms I’ve had with a toy ever, period. While I came for a second, third and fourth time I couldn’t help but remark how much the velvety soft Ina Wave felt like actual fingers. Gorgeous, skilled, robot fingers.
Unlike the original Lelo Ina which can often feel a bit stiff and inflexible (read: too much pressure on the clit), the Wave version is a much more comfortable fit. Both the shaft and clitoral arm are soft and flexible, which means you can shift them around to find exactly that right spot for you. The controls are also very straightforward and easy to use which makes for a relaxing, hassle free play session.
Not to mention, the Lelo Ina Wave is a total looker. She comes in three gorgeous colours and in true Lelo style, is packaged like a luxurious gift. I absolutely love the packaging and stunning multicoloured “smoke” motif used for this line.
If you know you already enjoy the kind of stimulation I described above or just want to try something totally new (sexy, robot fingers!), I would totally recommend the Ina Wave. Although it’s a bit on the pricey side, this is one of those toys that after trying it, I would have had no qualms spending my own money on (because, robot fingers & crazy intense orgasms.) The Lelo Ina Wave now has a place on my list of favourite sex toys.
