Hey guys, do you remember when I reviewed the Revel Body Sonic – that spherical vibrator that looks like an old-school web cam and reminded of what I imagine it would feel like to ride in Larry David’s car? Well, the brainchildren over at Revel Body have come up with an updated version, the Revel Body Sol and there were kind enough to send me one to test drive.

If you’re unfamiliar with the Revel Body line, you can read my original review here. Like the original, the second-generation Revel Body SOL is a powerful clitoral vibrator featuring TrueSonic technology, perfect for body massage and clitoral stimulation. Roll it on the body or use the vibrating tip, which varies from thumpy and powerful to fast and buzzy. It comes with three redesigned and improved tips for customized performance and a new QuietCore piston for quieter operation. Like the original it’s 100% body-safe.

To summarize, the new Revel Body Sol is stronger, quieter and comes with more goodies.

I had a deep sense of “like” for the original and these new improvements have definitely pushed me over the edge into “love” territory. One of my main complaints about the original was the noise. Although the Revel Body Sol is still far from whisper quiet, the new version sounds less like you’re using a power tool in your bedroom.

Although the original was really powerful in it’s own right, I did notice that the sensations were a bit stronger with the Sol. The rumbly, bouncy, thumpy vibrations are still my favourite and the buzzy ones still do nothing for my clitoris (although, they do feel really nice for massage!) Overall despite looking nearly identical, the Revel Body Sol provides a more powerful, smooth ride than the original.

However, my favourite thing about the Revel Body Sol is that it comes with two different attachments which, previously you had to purchase separately. I love that you can easily remove the smooth pink head and switch things up with different attachments for a completely customized experience. The Revel Body Sol comes with “Fawn” an ultra-soft, brush-like head designed for tickling sensations and “Ever” which is slightly curved with circular ribbing for extra stimulation. Although I was most curious about the Fawn attachment, it was “Ever” that really won me over. I just feels f*cking awesome, especially when you use it on the rumblier settings. I have no explanation for why it feels so good, other than magic.

Of course, Joe the Intern is still a bit confused and convinced that the Revel Body Sol is in fact, an old school web cam. I discovered this when I found him trying to communicate with a “nice girl” he met from a site called RussianDolls4u.

Although Joe is still frustrated with his love life, I’m totally enjoying my experience with the Revel Body Sol. I just love how versatile and different is from any other sex toys I own. The Revel Body Sol is definitely a fun and unique addition to any bedroom arsenal!

3. The Lelo Insignia Soraya – I debated whether to include this luxe rabbit vibrator on this list. Even though it’s my favourite, a huge part of the reason I love it so much is because it fits my body absolutely perfectly. My g-spot is located fairly far back and the Soraya’s long, straight shaft with a slightly flared head hits it like no other toy I own (every. single. time.) I also love that the clitoral arm is super flexible, making it easy to control the amount of pressure on your clitoris. Oh and it’s a totally gorgeous toy, which also doesn’t hurt. 4. The Crave Duet – I’ve referred to this sleek and tiny vibrator as the James Bond of sex toys because it’s one sexy and sophisticated little beast. 7. The Jimmyjane Form 2 – Similar to the Crave Duet, the Jimmyjane Form 2 has two “arms” or “rabbit ears” that can be used to surround your clit and powerful, intense vibrations. Use the “ears” to hug your clit, or the tips of the ears for pinpointed stimulation – either way, this is a great clitoral vibe for people who like their vibrators powerful, rumbly and compact. 8. Lelo Mona – Mona was the first luxury vibrator I ever purchased and she remains one of my favourites to this day. The Lelo Mona has a similar g-spot friendly shape to the Lelo Ina, minus the clitoral arm. Now that I’ve shared mine, what are your favourite toy(s)?

When a bra says it has “Underlying Secrets” – I’m interested. This is how I ended up getting my hands on this super cute bra and panty set by Sophie. B. When I mentioned I was interested in investigating this lingerie set, the awesome people over at Lovehoney hooked me up and now I’m here to share my thoughts.

Like a lot of the lingerie brands I review, this was my first experience trying anything from the Sophie. B range. So, I was both curious and not sure what to expect. This set comes in two pieces: the “Underlying Secrets” push up bra ($28.95) and the matching thong ($12.95) I thought the set looked really cute in the photos, so I was happy when it arrived and was just as cute in person.

Now, let’s start by talking about the bra. The Underlying Secrets Push-Up bra is your standard underwire push-up bra. It’s made of black spandex with polka dot mesh and lace overlay, and trimmed in hot pink piping. I like that it’s feminine and girly without being over the top. It looks cute on and definitely gives you boobs a nice lift. Read: this bra will give you cleavage. Lots and lots of cleavage.

However, I have some issues with the sizing: this bra is only available in four different sizes. Because they didn’t have my exact size, I ordered my “sister size” (36C) So, although it fit in the cups, the band was a bit too wide for me. Also, I found the straps a little on the thin side. I have heavy breasts so I prefer to have sturdier straps, so that I feel really supported.

I noticed that there was a bit of frayed lace on the seam that connects the straps to the bra. This isn’t a structural issue – the bra won’t spontaneously self-destruct while you’re wearing it. I trimmed the lace and stitched it down myself just so that it wouldn’t fray anymore. However, compared to the Blue Bella Millie Bra which is absolutely beautifully detailed and is at a similar price point, this seemed like a bit of an oversight.

There’s also a heck of a lot of padding. This could be a good thing or a bad thing, depending on your needs. Personally I don’t need this much padding. I’m already a 32DD, so wearing this bra kind of made me feel like I was walking around with two giant grapefruits strapped to my chest (I think this is the bra’s “underlying secret.”) However, I could see how this would be a great bra for someone who is looking to enhance their bust.

With that said, I did wear this bra out on Halloween underneath my Princess Caroline costume and can honestly say that it’s surprisingly comfortable (despite the size being slightly off.)

I have no complaints about the thong. The “Underlying Secrets” thong is great. It’s made of the same materials as the bra, is comfortable and washes well if you put it in a lingerie bag.

I like this lingerie set, however I’m not in love with it. If you can find your exact bra size, the Underlying Secrets Push-Up bra is a cute option for someone who is looking for a budget friendly padded push up-bra & thong set.

However, if you want to see what lingerie I am in love with, I would suggest checking out the BlueBella line (especially since there’s a bunch of stuff on sale right now!) The Blue Bella Millie Bra is still one of my favourite lingerie pieces I’ve reviewed in 2014. Another favourite is the Oh La La Cheri Black Lace Chemise (awesome quality, beautifully detailed, fits great) I’ve loved everything I’ve tried from Oh La La Cheri and they have some seriously sexy pieces!

A few years ago I bought the Hitachi Magic Wand because I’d heard it was the “Cadillac of Vibrators” – the original, the be-all-end-all, the orgasm holy grail. Frankly, I was curious (who wouldn’t be?!) However, I think I am the only person on earth that doesn’t completely love the Hitachi. Yes, it’s truly the most powerful vibrator I’ve ever experienced – but, not necessarily in a good way. It’s so powerful that it actually numbs out my lady parts. I think I have used it a total of 3 times since purchasing it and one of those times was to give myself a neck massage. Since then I’ve been weary of trying any other wand style vibrators.

However, when Sensual Hut contacted me to see if I’d be interested in reviewing one of their toys, I decided I’d give wands another try. Enter the Sonia Wand by Sensual Hut, a sleek, gorgeous and compact wand style vibrator.

There’s a couple of things that I really like about this toy:

1) It’s rechargeable. Unlike the Hitachi Magic Wand which plugs into the wall (a feature I’ve always found awkward and slightly scary) the Sonia Wand is fully rechargeable by USB.

2) It’s way more convenient. At approximately 3/4 the size of the Hitachi and at least 1/2 the weight, this is just a way more convenient and discrete toy to travel with or keep in your nightstand. Plus, you never have to plug it in.

3) It’s ergonomic. The curved design of this toy is simply gorgeous and it fits nicely in your hand. Because it’s a smaller sized wand it’s also very easy to manoeuvre with intuitive controls.

4) It’s powerful. This toy has a lot of power. Not quite as much as the Hitachi, but enough to give you some really great orgasms!

5) It’s silicone. One of my complaints about the Hitachi Magic Wand is the plastic material that makes up it’s bulbous head actually really irritates my skin. Although I found the Sonia did numb me out a bit after use, it was nothing like the Hitachi. Also, because it’s silicone, it didn’t irritate my lady parts.

What I didn’t like about this toy, was that it delivered vibrations to far too wide an area – which is the reason I tend to avoid wand style vibrators in the first place. There’s nothing wrong with this toy, it’s just that at the end of the day, I still prefer toys that provide precise and pinpointed stimulation like the We-Vibe Touch, The We-Vibe Tango, The Jimmyjane Form 2 or the Crave Duet. With that said, I’m still going to keep the Sonia around because I think she’d make a nice addition when it comes to massage during foreplay.

I don’t know about you, but when it comes to putting together boudoir looks (i.e. lingerie or sexy costumes) the shoes are always an afterthought. I usually just grab my favourite pair of super high, black patent leather, stiletto pumps and call it a day. However, lately I’ve been thinking more about shoes and how they play into acting out your fantasies in the bedroom.

However, although I’ve been known to rock some crazy cheetah print pumps on occasion, my shoe taste tends to fall more in the “ordinary” category. So, when it came time to choose my shoes I went with one of their more subdued options. Skinny Dippers, meet the Fabulicious Lip 139 Sandals by Pleaser.

The Fabulicious Lip 139 Sandals are a black patent, D’Orsay style, platform sandal with an adjustable ankle strap. Made of man-made faux leather, feature a 3/4 ” platform and 5″ heels. I was initially attracted to these shoes because their minimalist structure reminded a bit of a very sexed up version of the Stuart Weitzman “Nudist” sandal.

First of all, I was really impressed by the packaging. The shoes arrived in a blue “Fabulicious” box and came with a coordinating blue dust-bag for storage. FYI, when I travel I pack all of my shoes in dust bags, so this is definitely a plus in my books.

At first glance, the Fabulicious Lip 139 Sandals are very sleek, however also slightly daunting in height. However, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that they have a nice cushy insole made of soft black suede material. Here’s a few photos of what they look like on.
